Google Play Music and YouTube Red will be Merged into a New Service

Google confirms that two of its most popular streaming services, YouTube Red and Google Play Music, will be merged into one. The unification is aimed at offering better enjoy the content. This information is not the first circulating information related possibility of merging Google Play Music and YouTube Red.

Discussion session at the Conference on the New Music Seminar in New York, the Global Head of Music, YouTube, Lyor Cohen mentions Google must combine two of these services to be able to educate consumers and increase the number of customers. According to Cohen, Google consider merger of YouTube Red and Google Play Music services as the most important thing. That way, they can provide consumers with a single quote.

For now, Google is the midst of undergoing the evaluation process of how combining the two services is to provide the consumer experience of enjoying better content than ever. The music referred to by Google as the most important thing for them, and the evaluation process for presenting new music offerings this does not change its commitment in bringing the best experience for the consumer.

Google also mentions, the merger will not give negative impact to previous users of both services. Google promised to provide notice to users before making changes.
