As a result the fatal: computers under attack will be locked. The data is encrypted so that it cannot be accessed. Malware simply displays a message on the computer screen which asks for a ransom of $300 in the form of virtual currency Bitcoin transactions that could not be traced.

If a ransom was paid to their digital wallet, there is no guarantee that the makers of ransomware really will send the encryption key to unlock the data on the victim’s computer.
